Maybe you are not sure your child is getting what she needs at the local private or public school. Your child is being home pages and pages of material you she mastered last year. Your child may tell you how boring school is, what little she is learning and at time she corrects the teacher.
Does this mean the school system is not working for your child. This only means that your child is ahead of her class, even if her class is at her grade level. Maybe, your child needs more challenging type of studies.
Most parents decided to homeschool for educational excellence. Parents see a difference between private schools and public schools that their child may be attending and decided to homeschool their child because she is ahead of her grade level or the next one and want to feel in the gap.
Public school are almost free, but private schools will run you about $3,000 per year. If you homeschool your child, she or he be getting more education at home for a smaller price.
